Ok so I've been reading and researching here for a year or two now, and i slowly have been workin on an old Jon boat my dad had shoved in the weed due to busted rivets. He used it for a crappie boat and had built an alucabond deck with storage and a pedestal seat but all that's gone now. My goal here is to have something lightweight, but but tough, that we can pack our gear in and out with. It's 14' long and 32" across the bottom and I'm thinking 16" sides. I know this sounds small but 99% of what I hunt is buckbrush swamp and a big boat usually means a big clusterfock. So far I have drilled out every rivet, removed seats and floor braces, basically stripped to bare hull. Then I cleaned all the holes and welded them shut. I know what you're thinkin and yes, it kinda looks like the boat has herpes, but a flap disk will smooth em down close to smooth. Then I went through and welded all the floor braces back, and put the middle seat back in where I wanted it. I also made a corner seat in the rear that would be out of the way when driving a mud motor. I reinforced the front of it with some 3/16 alum, and added some 3/4 alum cold roll grab handles. I ordered a 3000lb winch last night, which will get bolted on the top plate. It's far from done but just figured I'd show you guys what I had goin so far and see what ya thought.

That's what I tried but after I hit add the file it takes forever to load. Might be my crappy wifi. Thanks though
