Post Longtails on a sneakbox- particularly schellinger low sides
I love the roy schellinger low-sides, have hunted from one and fell head over heels. Problem is, id really prefer it to be equipped with a longtail. I don't need it for seriously long runs, nothing over 3 miles. But I do need it for the south jersey tidal muck. I just see little to no information mentioned about mud motors on these sneakbox's. I was wondering if anyone had any info on whether these boats are capable of running a mud motor... and if so, how effective they were. I'm considering an 11' or 12' low-side.

Thanks for any and all help guys

I just looked these boats up and they are pretty cool little rigs. I noticed in some
Of the pics they are running 4 stroke Honda outboards. I would imagine putting a small longtail would work fine with it. Especially for the needs you described. I would also consider one of the small copperhead surface drives, seems like the transom is plenty strong to run either a long tail or a small (6.5 ish) surface drive.

Buddy has a 6.5 long tail on his sneak box like this ( he hunts south jersey) and he says he loves it
