New boat size

 New boat sizeWhat is the best size boat for a new prodrive 36 hp. As in best for max speed and with 3 people and gear. What kind of speed should I see out of it. I was thinking of going with the stick stearing but if I don't it'll be tiller stearing thanks

Re: New boat size If speed is your thing get an outboard. Gotta put serious cash into a mud motor to get anything close to "speed". Just saying.

Re: New boat size If your going with a prodrive and stick steer I stay with prodrive boat, they got it worked out pretty well. That's what the owner drives.

Re: New boat size For three people 1754 would be nice and not too crowded with dog, decoys etc. More surface area on the bottom will help you get on step quicker than a 1748.
