What is the best size boat for a new prodrive 36 hp. As in best for max speed and with 3 people and gear. What kind of speed should I see out of it. I was thinking of going with the stick stearing but if I don't it'll be tiller stearing thanks |

18 x 48 or a tad wider gives the best overall mix of performance and speed --- thats the size guys buy on the second or third hull most often --- better to just start there - ![]() viewtopic.php?f=2&t=58978&p=800770#p800770 Like this one... |

If speed is your thing get an outboard. Gotta put serious cash into a mud motor to get anything close to "speed". Just saying. |

Ok thanks that's what I was wondering on how much it would fall on its face with a load naturally it'll be slower but I just didn't know how much. Thanks |

If your going with a prodrive and stick steer I stay with prodrive boat, they got it worked out pretty well. That's what the owner drives. |

For three people 1754 would be nice and not too crowded with dog, decoys etc. More surface area on the bottom will help you get on step quicker than a 1748. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
