I'm looking at getting a 1756 triton with a 35 gtr with steer console. I was just wondering what yalls opinion was on the steer consoles. Are they reliable? How good are they in mud? I run big water a lot but I do go in the shallows and timber on occasion. |

I love mine. Haven't wanted a tiller since. I can run timber almost as quick as I could with my tiller rig. They are a little slower to work in the mud but the pros outweigh the cons from my perspective. Sent from my beeper |

I wanted one for years and always thought in would be a pain heavy vegetation or mud I just bought a 1760 gator tail cc last fall and I don't think I will ever have a tiller again |

I agree . It's a little slower using it working your motor in the mud but, if you make long runs to your blind or fishing whole you will never regret it. Love mine and can't see myself owning tiller handle since Iv had this boat . The pros deffinatley out weighs the cons |

my console lasted 50 hours on my boat then I went back to tiller, it is very comfortable don't get me wrong!! but if you buying a GTR to do what its made to do then stick to tiller. and I fish a tremendous amount out my boat but for huntin season it jus don't cut it with a console for me!!!! but the GTR remote steering is very reliable, if that's what your worried about. |
