Looking to buy something like a 16x42, doesn't really have to be strong. .080 or .100 gauge wide open with a slick bottom. Really light.

I think I remember someone like weldbilt building slick bottom boats, anybody point me in the right direction or a builder that could do something like this before SETX?

Find a weld bilt dealer, they do it on order but idk how long it takes. A buddy of mine had ordered a weld bilt with slick bottom for his 35 gdsd and he told me he had some issues with it cause they don't put enough support in the bottom so maybe that's something you can talk to them about.

.100 wouldn't be bad but .080 would be hard to keep from warping on the bottom. I have a feeling that has a little to do with why they put ribs on the bottom of those jon boats.

Stay away from weldbilt!! Had a 17 foot tunnel for a season and it sucked. It also took forever to get the piece of shit built. I went through backwoods landing Alabama. Iv seen a 1846 .100 gauge southfork perform really well!
