I have touched on this on another topic but my current boat is most likely totaled and I will be in the market for a new boat. I need something that will perform in shallow water, vegetation, and hold up to a ton of petrified stumps. What I need to know is what would make the biggest impact here additional bracing or upgrading from 1/8 to 3/16? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm no boat builder but 3/16 and a decent amount of bracing together |

Go 3/16 and don't look back. I am very glad I did. I went through 3 1/8 boats to figure it out. Sent from my beeper |

get 3/16 and be done with it! ive seen the 1/8" boats with additional bracing and it still dents. 1/8" and stumps dont go in the same sentence. |

I don't know how many threads you have to start to answer the same question. Don't get a stump jumper. Get a custom boat with 3/16 and 2x2 stringers and a lot of them. Not rocket science. |
