Are there any benefits to buying/building a custom hull vs buying a PD/GT stock boat? I realize that with custom you can get exactly what you want, but are their any major gripes with the hulls from PD/GT? |

You can get a much stronger hull if you go custom. For us that run stumps a factory hull won't lost very long. Sent from my beeper |

No major gripe on their hulls from me except you can't get a 3/16th bottom from PD. |

I'm pretty dead set on the boat I want, but as I get closer to pulling the trigger, I keep seeing all these custom hulls and wonder if it's worth having one built. However, one thing that I keep telling myself is that the manufacturer probably builds a boat that they have found their engines to push best. It's the boats that they test their engines on so it seems as though they would have everything dialed in just right! |

When I was looking for a hull I really thought about where and what I would be using it for. I drove several hulls and chose a rounded chine. This allows me to have the best of both worlds. It will turn on a dime and still get you in skinny water. You can get anything added to a custom hull. Good luck |
