Hey yall I am working on a job at a nuclear power plant and I am tired of 12 hr shifts. So I started thinking about mm hulls. The question is.... What do yall think would be the fastest hull to build? Length, Width, sides. Don't matter about name brand,could be custom flat or skiff. Just something to kick around. |

1746 18" sides full hull 1/8 anything inside .100 |

If speed is the only concern, 1/8th isn't necessary and will be a hindrance. .080 or .100 would be fine. 3-5 braces would be fine too. 1746 would be close, but square chine or some sort of reverse chine is more important than it being 44, 46, 48, etc. 16, or 17, or 18with 50", 48" or 44" respectively. That's my vote. The lighter the better. |

Seems like a long narrow skiff with some power always runs good. Square chine for sure. |

1646 .100 gauge is about the fastest I've ever saw. Hoyt at GatorTail ran 44+ with a modded engine on one. A standard 1748 or 1848 is pretty fast too. |

MINE !!!  No actually, 1848, 1748, square chine. Mine is 1748, square chine, 3/16 bottom, 1/8 sides, ribs are hat section, all decking and fully welded out false floor is .100 gauge. Long rake at 7'. And and one other thing, wear a seat belt. BTW, still waiting to hear from Mike on hydraulics, hes in Disney.IMG_2528.JPG |

I have a 16.5x46 Instagator .100 with 18" sides and Jay's reaction chine. Any thoughts on what I might see with a 37EFI? Was planning on picking up a new 2015 25GTR to replace my 2013 but the 37EFI has me intrigued. I have the 27" drive GTR on my current hull and I'm at 28 light. The guys with the 32" and my hull were faster. |

The fastest mud rig I have ever seen In person was a 16' gatortrax rogue HD With a 7000. i've got a 55 johnson enforcer with CMC T&T on a 1648 and I'd say he was maybe 3-5 mph slower at wot in deep water. He was right next to me at 37 mph on my gps. Don't know the fella personally, but my goodness that little 1/8th canoe he had would flat out roll. |
