New to surface drive world. Just bought a new 37 boss surfacedrive. I put it on my 15×48 allweld flat. But I know I'm only getting half the performance on the current boat. So what would be a good choice of length and width when I go to buy one. It's usually just me. There batteries. Fuel tank and trolling motor. For fishing. For hunting season it's usually three people. Also this motor is fuel injection. So what can I do to give it some more hp? I'm running little timber but mostly marsh.

With EFI you get what you get. No mods for that yet.

A good 18' would be perfect.... Well balanced.....
