Does anyone have any experience using Alumaloy welding rods? I found them on ebay and then looked at a few videos on their applications for repairing aluminum. They look easy enough to use. Just need a propane torch/burner to bond it to the repair area. It melts at a cooler temp that aluminum so you can patch cracks and rivets before weakeningthe hull material. I was thinking about trying it on a few spots that need fixing on this old hull and would like to know from those who may have tried it what your opinion of the product is. Thanks in advance. |

I would say take it to a real welder and let them patch up whatever you need. Sent from my beeper |
