 Hydro turf flaking?? I bought a boat last week and my only complaint is the hydro turf. I've never had a boat with hydro turf so I'm not too familiar with it or how it acts. When I rub my hand across it or sit on it I get black crap all over the place (the turf is black).
I'm hoping that it was just because the guy who had it before me had it siting out in the sun and a good pressure wash will clean it up. Does anyone else have this problem? Any fixes?

Re: Hydro turf flaking?? It is because it was in the sun and yes, you can knock it off with a pressure washer and it'll be fine. no need to worry, it's pretty tough stuff.

Re: Hydro turf flaking?? A good pressure wash will help clean it up, but you cant let them sit outside in the sun and bake. You might also could try contacting Hydroturf about it. I have had them replace some turf for me that was doing it, but I was also the original purchaser.

Re: Hydro turf flaking?? Had the same thing happen to a buddies boat. He wasn't the original purchaser of the turf but hydroturf replaced it no questions asked. It also didn't matter how much he pressure washed it it still got all over your hands.

Re: Hydro turf flaking?? i sanded or whatever you want to call it with a scotch brite pad and it not only cleaned it but took a small layer off making it good as new.

Re: Hydro turf flaking?? Had some camo turf that would get brown dust all over ya. Emailed hydroturf and sent in a pic and was credited 4 replacement sheets.
