Post subject:  Switch Panel and wire questions

I'm trying to get everything together to start wiring up my boat in the next few weeks. The boat will have a 22" 120W lightbar, Marpac LED shark eye navigation lights, LED stern light, LED rope light for courtesy lights under the catwalks, bilge pump, (2) 12V accessory plugs, bilge pump, and possibly a fish finder/GPS unit in the future. I'm not the most knowledgeable person when it comes to wiring, so I'm looking for a decent prewired switch panel to run all of this with. Preferably one that is circuit protected with either fuses or breakers all in one to keep the wiring clean. Any suggestions on a panel and what size wires I should run all of his with? Also, where can I get marine grade wires and connectors in the Lafayette area? Thanks in advance.

Bluesea switch panel. Very good and meant to last, but a little pricey. Order online for a cheaper price.

As for wire I used a 14g 2 conductor marine wire. I also ordered it on line for much cheaper than in the store.

If you spend a little time and money and do it right the first time it'll last along time.

This company will make custom harnesses and stuff, but you'd have to give them a lot of specifics about your setup, and you'd likely want a switch panel from somewhere else. The one's they make/sell are more for geared for vehicles.
