I am thinking about buying a new boat only becasue I found a hell of a deal on one. It is a 1748 GTB with a hunt deck and open floor plan. It currently has a 25 GTR but I have spoken with a dealer and they will take it on a trade in and put a 37 EFI GTR on it for a good deal.

Just want some feed back on how that hull will perform with the 37. Will it have trouble with a load becasue its narrow? Will it squat bad? Any insight is helpful casue this will be my first square chine

It will be fine. It's not too narrow.

My 1848 with 37 sits pretty flat in the water. Can't imagine the 1' would make that much difference

Not sure how much weight difference there is between a 37 EFI and my old 31GT (no reverse) at 265#, but I have it mounted on an old 1648 - 70" beam three seat Jon boat and it doesn't have much squat to it. Gets on step pretty quick and handles well with decent speed for a stock carbed motor. My bottom is no where near perfect either. Haven't got to load it down yet, so I'm still looking to see how it takes on some weight. I think you'll be pleased with how it performs, tho.
