 Need bimini hardware help
I'm in the process of retro-fitting an old blind that was made with 1" EMT. I want to remount the blind to the boat using bimini fittings but I'm having a helluva time finding some the right size that will work with 1" tubing. I need either a male end cap that will fit into a 1" I.D. or a female fitting that will fit over 1 1/8" O.D. Does anyone make this size of fitting?

 Re: Need bimini hardware help
What many have done is close the end of the EMT (either a vise or hammer), grind it round and drill and hole through it. Then mount a u bracket to the boat with a bolt through it. An assortment of U brackets and bolts can be found at any hardware store for cheap. Bimini top fittings are way more expensive than they should be...
Or just get a bracket wide enough for the EMT and don't close the end... either way... cinch pins or bolts...

 Re: Need bimini hardware help
Yep got tired of spending the money on bimini hardware. Here is how i set up a blind years ago with emt and made it removable. I dont use a blind anymore though.. If you do make it removable with C-clamps, I have found that riveting the clamp to the emt works better than bolting through.

 Re: Need bimini hardware help
That's what I'm gonna end up doing I guess. Thought maybe I could find some bimini fittings in 1".
