Pete sent me a couple pics of my new build today. I had some ideas about the lines and how I wanted the boat to look. Talked these over along with measurements taken with Pete and it seems he crawled inside my head and took my vision of what I was looking at in amongst all the haze and cobwebs of the empty expanse left from the years of destroying my brain cells.
He has definitely got my attention. Good things to come. :D :D :D

Hernaja, I may have my boat by now if it wasn't for that big ass thing you are having built.
I saw it in the shop the other day and thought...DAMN!!! That's a lot of boat.

Tx, mine is a 20X54 with a triple taper chine. The pointed bow adds over a foot to the actual length from nose to tail. I don't think the planing surface will be much more than what I have now. Possibly a foot. However, the hunting area inside the boat will be much greater by several feet. Went with 3/16 bottom and 1/8 sides. 6" catwalks.

Tx, that's what they are for my boy.
Owen, I am going to stay with a built single motor. I won't win the race but I should be ok.

Mine will have dual 37 Efi GTR's. I was going to post a thread once it's built, but can post one now If people want to see it. Our boats are basically the same mine is just wider. Mine is mainly a fishing rig for deep and shallow water. It's not for everyone but it's what I want. Lol yea my boat can double as a coke barge lol

Update... First thing I will say is my experience with Pete Willett is just as expected during this process. He has sent pictures offered suggestions and took the time to discuss options with me as we go. We went with 8" catwalk instead of the 6. The word "CUSTOM" is in the company title for a reason. This thing is starting to look like a boat. :D

T10, getting heads touched up on my motor. I will likely be into hunting season before I repower. Looking forward to seeing what the old 55 does without 3 of the 4 valves leaking.
Pete says those boxes that extend under the hunt deck were the biggest PITA on the whole boat.
I wanted some storage that didn't take up a lot of floor space in the back. Extending them under the HD was his idea. Bet he regrets mentioning it now.
However, I have not seen the final bill for the time to build them either.

Tx, that was Pete's idea. Being an old fat man I may like to have a seat for just riding. I will still run without all the fancy stuff for hunting.

Frog, I bet you can't guess what I'm doing to the bottom of the boat and trailer bunks. ;)

good looking boat! i know exactly what he means on those boxes, they are a pain to build especially when they are fitted to the sides and not premade and stuck in there.

Gator glide frog. Get it together man. Lol
RJ, they have a ton of room with going all the way to the floor like that and under the hunt deck. Super nice.
I will be going thru that way tomorrow. I will take a few pics SETX.

Just a heads up, I drove a hunt deck boat with spud holders in basically the same spot and it would splash water into the boat and on your back. I hope yours doesn't do the same.

Good to know Owen. Easy to weld up and add a pipe on the back if it's a problem. Or stick a plug in them.
