Somebody asked me to post up how I have my bar mounted, so here it is. It's mounted at the grab bar with a 1" pipe and the bar is on a 3/4" pipe so it fits inside and swivels 360* it's really nice to spin it around and light up a dark boat ramp or move it side to side setting decoys. It would be legit mounted on a RAM mount, but it's easily removable and I can move it up/down and side/side as is, just gotta watch out for low limbs sometimes!!! |

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1438017832.456363.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1438017859.225455.jpg I'm glad I went cheap on the light bar, I don't use mine near as much as I thought I would. Especially on public land, draws too much attention to my location haha. Also can do it 360 degrees , I do like that part of it |

Woodrow... On your setup, pointed forward does it light up too much of the boat itself? I found that if my lights weren't either all the way out front or high enough up, they lit up the boat and I couldn't see a damn thing in front of me. Yours May be high enough... I had considered putting a 40" bar under the front edge of my poling platform but sorta talked myself out of it because of how much of the boat is actually in front of it. I figure a single 24" or a pair of 8" bars up front would be alright. |

It lights the front of the boat up a little, but it doesn't hamper my view of the water or seeing stumps close to the boat at all The only thing is if you have a tall passenger they might need to sit on the floor to keep from blocking the light |

I don't like lights on the bow because I feel they get in the way getting in and out and might get caught in a limb before you can do something about it |

You can literally stand on kirk's light bar cover and won't hurt a thing and it's on his bow . |

I agree with the lights catching hell up front. Id probably have to build some sort of guard for it. I run through some pretty gnarly brush on a fairly regular basis. |

I really like the way Prodigy does theirs. I can take mine out and then you have the holes for a spud pole or for a winch, or what ever you can build to mount on a piece of tubing. |

You can unplug the light and pull out the light bar/ guard off the boat. |

I got a 24 from amazon for like $60 its pretty good! Just install lock washers and stainless bolts. And you could run a bead of silicone on the inside to keep it waterproof but mine is still doing great! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
