Weldbilt Crawdad - "Not a planing hull"
I bought a Weldbilt crawdad and put a surface drive on it. It wants to push water instead of getting up on plane. It also looks like the water behind the boat is boiling underneath the transom (big reverse chine). Backwoods landing says that the crawdad is not made to be a planing hull.... If they really designed it not to get up on plane, and it wasn't a design flaw, it sure seems like they would make that information available on their website.

What sd did you put on it? Not sure why it wouldn't plane out.

That's bullshit. They have videos on their YouTube account of the owner driving a crawdad with a copperhead planed out running at good speed.
