Re: 25x7 Alum Uncle J Bay Boat
Nice!! Was that one made for what one would use a bay boat for?

Re: 25x7 Alum Uncle J Bay Boat
Yes. It has a padded bottom just like a blazer bay would have. Just never have to worry about paint fading or bumping into the dock. Also, a lot Cheaper than fiberglass.

Re: 25x7 Alum Uncle J Bay Boat
Can you make the bow angle steep like it is on bay boats
so it cuts waves like it's supposed to? And can you make one with a 102" beam? I'm really intrigued. If you can make it like I want, When I'm ready to buy a bay boat I'll go through you instead of buying a used one. I really liked my sea nymph cuz the abuse the aluminum can take. I really like the idea of an aluminum bay boat

Re: 25x7 Alum Uncle J Bay Boat
I don't think I'm asking rediculous things like that. I'm seriously curious and interested. I don't know what can be done when welding an aluminum boat and what cant. I know he's talented at what he does but I don't know what can be done. Does that make sense?

All of that can be done....just for a price. This isn't an Uncle J...but, I bet he could build one better and less costly than this one.

Re: 25x7 Alum Uncle J Bay Boat
Blue, that Hanko you posted. Is that a boat they built last summer?
I'm outside Beaumont, and a good friend has bought 2 boats from them in the last few years. A 17.5 side console "bass" boat, and a 22ft bay boat that looks super similar to that one.

Re: 25x7 Alum Uncle J Bay Boat
Man after seeing that bay boat I gotta say it would be awesome to build a massive ass hunt boat for the river. An ice breaking, decoy hauling barge among barges. Kinda like a "plate boat" but more finished......where's that damn power ball money when ya need it?!
