We had a customer decide to try out powder coating his boat Black then it started a trend for the next 2 builds. The boats were sand blasted first and then powder coated. Having the bottom sand blasted made the Gator Glide stick really well. Caleb Kilbey's Black 2048 (PVT Modded 35 Mud Buddy) with Black on Green Hydroturf Jason Moore's Copper Vein 1854 (PVT Modded 35 GTR) with BPS "Back to Basics" Hydroturf Carson Sample's Royal Brown CC 1854 (37 EFI GTR) with Hydroturf Brand Swamp Camo Turf |

Ah, That makes sense. Didn't even think about that because a lot of places that powder coat around here all have large ovens Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I mean...custom paint jobs ain't cheap if you pay someone else to do it for you. I think I'd rather have a single color powercoat than a fancy design if they're in the same price range. |

Damn those look awesome. I'm ignorant when it comes to this kind of thing. What is the advantage of powdercoating? I'm assuming it's durability, but is there more to it than that? |

Getting things powder coated is usually cheaper It's simple. get a mud motor. shoot ducks in the face. |

I like the trays / catwalk combo on that first one!! Are they long enough for fishing rods? |

Depending on size of the boat and exactly what gets powder coated anywhere from $1000 to $1800. About the cost of a good Camo Designs paint job but should be 2 to 3 times more durable than paint. Most all of these were fully powder coated inside boxes, inside hatches and every little piece like switch plates, grab bar, shark eye bases, light bar base, seat bases, spud poles, etc. The only thing not powder coated was where they taped off for Gator Glide. The two tiller boats were $1300 and the console boat was $1600. Hard to tell from the pictures I posted of the second boat with "Copper Vein", but the picture Randy S posted of the Silver Vein is similar just copper colored instead on silver. The copper vein color throws off a lot of different colors depending on how the light hits it. 3CK - That catwalk storage is full length with just two lids so yes it would hold rods, guns, or whatever you want. |
