I am mostly larnching my boat off flooded road ways and soft mud banks. The thin tires sink in the mud up to the axel. Has anyone ever tried using wide trailer tires? Pros or cons with this idea? |

Ever seen those trailer tires that the Jet ski rental places use? They have extra wide tires so they don't sink in the sand on the beach, and it makes it easy to launch on the beach. |

Couple of 10' 2x6's always do it for me.... You could run those wide golf cart looking tires they run on pontoon boat trailers also. My old man had some he swapped around on his for when he had to launch on a sandbar. Worked well. They don't wear particularly well and they're harder on bearings since the wheels have to turn faster to go the same speed. |

I think its a great idea and you might want to get away from trailer tires and look into car or LT tires. |
