I've read somewhere that some guys mount their motors a 2 or 3 inches off center to the port side because of tiller torque. Does anyone here do that? I'm thinking about how I'm going to build my hunt deck and if I should build the spot that the motor clamps too extra wide to leave a lot of room for adjustment. |

If you're building a boat for a GT, you definitely need to add some width to your motor mount and bracing, by the time you get it where it'll run straight and not try to drag you out of the boat it'll be across the boat, hanging on by one bolt! ![]() |

I have an 07 frame and I have almost zero TT mounted dead center. It definitely changes with different props but is not bad with any that I have ran. I think the new LU's have more of a problem with TT though. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I just adjusted mine to 1 inch off center and it helped a good bit. Yes, there is still tiller torque, but it is manageable. I went ahead and bolted it there. I am running the stock three blade and have heard that some folks had really good results switching to the big blade. This will be my next purchase. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have a calice on my hip from running the factory 3 blade and the new lower unit and wedging that tiller handle against my side. A couple friends were almost removed from the boat while driving. Swapped to the big blade and its much better. Still has some of its old axe-murderer habits if you lay it hard over going fast though. |
