Bump for the experts I have read about this on this site. Pretty much someone said if your hull is concave like that it's pretty well fucked. This is your lowco boat that you just had a bunch of work done on? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I never had all the work done just the transom cut down because that was thought to be the issue but after months of issues I'm getting to the bottom of it |

Didn't seem that bad, but it could be acting like a suction cup against the water. Does it run better in slight chop than real smooth water? |

How in god's name did you get that thing off a mud flat? That's like one giant suction cup! I don't even know how you get a shape like that other than the floor of the shop wasn't square when they were welding it. |

Rice, I just recently had to deal with this when my hull got damaged when pulled in. I have a thread on how I did it. Now I replaced all my ribs, but when going back new, my bottom was exactly like yours. I had some steel tubing, but you could do it with 4x4's. So tools needed: 2 - 4x4's ( at least the width of the hull with some excess sticking out both sides) 2 - ratchet straps 1 - bottle jack This can be done on your trailer with the motor attached. Take 1 4x4 and place it under the hull on the trailer where the bad spot is. The place the other 4x4 on top of the gunnel. Use the ratchet straps to "sandwich" the two 4x4's together. Use 1 strap on the 4x4 overhang and pull the together, same on the other side. Now you have a rigid frame to go to work. Use the bottle jack and place it inside the hull and under the 4x4 across the gunnel. Now if the 4x4 on top is aligned with the 4x4 under the hull, start cranking on the bottle jack. No need to worry about flexing to much, because the 4x4 under the hull is the backbone inwitch the hull will flex against and wont go any further. Loosen straps and slide your "rigid" frame to the next location. Repeat. Now if it tries to flex back, then while under a load of the bottle jack, install crossbraces to help "hold Down" and support the bad section. If you already have cross braces, cut the out, flex the floor and reweld them back. It took me the better part of a day, but I had to totally reweld my ribs back in. Now its flat as hell and hauling ass once again. Boat repair 01.jpg Boat repair 02.jpg Boat repair 03.jpg |

That's a lot of work banded looks great I am good at a lot of things but welding isn't one of them...especially aluminum...I'm taking it back to the builder hoping they stand behind there work I started my first post three-four days after I picked the boat up from them in Oct and have been fighting it since. I catch hell in the mud get soaked while running. It's gotta get fixed that's all I know |

In the second video (00:59) it looks like your trailer bunks stop about 4-6 inches before the the end of your boat. That'll hook a boat quickly, although I think you have more going on here. Also, South Carolina roads suck. |

Yeah I'd probably bring them out. It was hard to tell from the video, but just assumed the boat was resting on a 2X4 standing up. |

I doubt they know about this thread right now they don't know how bad it is. They only know if the hooks at the transom but they will know in the morning and yes I believe a newer company trying to get going needs to handle this correctly and I'll make sure they know how serious I am. Between this site and FBs mud boat mafias 6500 members the word will get out really quickly especially with pics and all the post I've put on here about the boats issues |

Dropped the boat off today of course the first thing out of his mouth was I hit something. I was polite and explained how if been having issues for a long time he said they would flip it over and put a straight edge on it see what th issue was. Then said they could weld a plate to the bottom to cover the hooks in the back. I responded with that won't make the boat preform better and that it had to preform like other square chine boats like I paid for. so he said he would call me after they flip it and we would discuss from there. I hinted to this thread and the fact I'm a member here and post regularly and FB mud boat mafia group. I told him to give me a reason to praise them and not the opposite |
