Islamorada Boatworks sure does make a fine bayboat (not aluminum).

Go big and expensive or go home! lol There are several really nice bay boats out there but all of the ones I really like are expensive, why does it always have to work like that?

YF is nice but would rather have an Islamorada with the Merc 400r hanging on it.

If you are price shopping, the mako 21lts is a lot of bang for the buck.

The layout is one of the best I found in a 21' boat....

I had a Blazer bay 2400, triton 240lts, Blackjack 224 and Pathfinder 2200

My favorite was the pathfinder due to a combo of layout, ride, draft and speed. It was good at all those, where the others were great at one or two things.....

I may consider aluminum next due to the custom possibilities, speed and durability along with the new guys painting them, they look great.

Im thinking a 21' flats, sit down center console all 3/16''....With the way the crimp the bottoms, it should be quick, and draft 10'' or so.

Hanko's builds some really nice solid boats. Gaudet too, but I don't think he build them that small anymore.

They still build them....and some nice ones.....Hankos had some great looking stuff at the Sportsman's Show this year. Really nice painted CC and a high sided dual console that I came real close to busting out the checkbook on....but, I'm too tight for that kind of $$.

Gaudet still builds bayboats? My dad has a 16' skiff from around the time he stopped making those and moved on to crew boats only.

Frog, you get a lot for your money with those Skeeter bay boats. There's a dealer right near my house.

There's a guy in Lakeport who runs a big Express like that. I see him all the time having lunch or dinner at the Aruba Tiki; I'll ask him how he likes it next time I see him.
