About to order a gatortrax 1754 cc w huntdeck. Will a #55 Minneola have enough power or should I go with a 24v option? |

I have a 1754 X-series with a 55# Minnkota Riptide it pulls the boat good just wish I would have got the 24V instead of the 12. Like the other guys are saying as well. Also look into getting the quick release bracket it will save you a lot of headache during hunting season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I went bigger then I need. a 105# thrust 36 volt xI5 motor guide. Rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it. Nice to have on big open water on windy days |

12v 55lb here and there are a few times fighting a current I wish I had something bigger but for where I fish and how I fish, the 55 does fine. I mainly didn't want to have to carry two batteries. I use a group 31 Interstate Extreme cycling battery and it does great. I've never ran it dead and have fished several days at a time between charges. |

I run a 12V 55lb Minn Kota Maxxum on my 2054 PD and it does fine....I could see where open water with a heavy wind or in heavy current could make it tough but it does great for me! |

i got the 24v 70# ipilot on a 1754 never once wished i had a smaller one!!! works faster trolling out of long no wake zones than idling with the big motor too lol |

1754 and my 55 does well. A 24 volt would be better but a 55 works. I got a good deal on my 55 riptide. If I started over I would go with a 24v I pilot |

55# 12v iPilot on a 1854 SBX moves really well other than when the current is ripping. There's been a few times I could have used bigger but not many at all. Don't think I've managed to run the big interstate rv battery down more than 50% in a weekend yet either. Really didn't want to weigh it down even more with a 24v setup and still happy with the 12v. Love the iPilot other than it drifting so far off when I first hit anchor in heavy current. Once it gets back to the spot though it will usually sit there all day. Remote started acting up on me last trip to big lake, having to hit buttons multiple times to get them to work. Gonna swap batteries and see if that helps and if not guess I get to find out how Minn Kota is on warranty. |

I have a heavy 1750 with 3/16 bottom. I run a 45lbs minn kota and have zero issues so far. I'm running two batteries in parallel and I've be able to run two or three, 4hr, trips. I was undecided about a 45 over a 55, but I'm pleased with my decision so far |

have the 12v I-pilot on an 1856 and still don't want the weight of another battery. But if you fish all day go with 24 |

Appreciate yalls input. I had a 55 on a 1750 last year and it was good except on windy days. Going with the 70 to be safe though. |
