I have a 18/56 excel f4 right now wanting to get rid of it. Looking to get a prodigy or gator tail what are your guys opinion on the the two. I live in Ca so hard to drive to any dealer to check them out.

Both good boats. I love my prodigy though.

Where are you located? The good thing about a custom is it's a custom! Prodigy hasn't let me down and I'm rough on my equipment.

I looked at both for a while and ordered a prodigy. I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas morning now. I barely talked to anyone at gator tail but when I called, they were friendly and informative. Chad and Ashley at prodigy have been great to work with. Very friendly, patient and helpful. I ended up going with prodigy because their boats look better than any other in my opinion, I've read all good things about them, and when I priced the 2 I got the prodigy loaded out with everything I want plus a blind, and cut things out that I could live without on the gator tail, and the prodigy was still cheaper. Also, I've only seen 1 prodigy in person, so I'll have custom boat that not many people around me have.
Prodigy recommends a site called "u ship", or something like that, if you want to get it shipped to you. They said it's usually around $500-600 depending on where you are. I'll probably use that when mine is done to save me the drive.

I'm very surprised that Prodigy was cheaper.
