 New motor transom question
Moving up to a surface drive from my longtail finally and I'm not sure what to do about my transom. I'm concerned about where I drilled holes in my transom to mount my longtail that they are not going to line up with the new motor.
What would you guys recommend doing if you were in my shoes? Have a plate welded on both sides of the transom I'm thinking?
The boat is a 1644 gatortrax with no hunt deck and a 21" transom. I'm going to hang a 37efi HDR on it.

 Re: New motor transom question
Seems like you pretty much figured it out for yourself. I don't like holes in my boat.... Guess I better cover them up or fill them with something...

 Re: New motor transom question
Weld the holes and grind them flat, install engine, drill new holes and bolt.
