What does everyone use in the duck boat as a GPS. All I'm looking for is basically a satallite map that will keep your track. I don't want to use my phone as I have used google earth in the past. I want a mountable unit that's easy enough to see while driving |

Do a search on here. I was in the same boat as you. I ended up with a garmin gps map78. I hated draining my phone battery and losing my maps when i lost service. It's a relatively cheap unit that you can add satellite imagry to through garmins Birdseye software(basically Google maps). I was able to download basically all of Southeast louisiana and a good portion of MS and still have room on my card. You make your own maps and it's really simple to do. I went with a handheld just so I could use it from boat to boat and some places I walk in to hunt. If you want a larger screen and don't mind spending more money the garmin montana is an excellent unit. I bought a cheap cell phone Holder that's removable to keep the unit in place while running my boat. I also bought rechargable AA batteries and keep a spare set with me and chaged just in case they go out in my unit. I strongly suggest a garmin unit, it's one of the best investments I've made. |

A plain Garmin handheld, that way you can use it elsewhere and dont have to permanently mount it to the boat. |

I'm looking for something with satallite imagery. Something with little bigger screen than an iPhone. To many close calls with an iPhone in the boat |
