Could someone point me in the right direction to research these boats a little bit? I don't remember seein too much about them on here and search only turned up a couple. I wanna see different setups and go from there. If I jump in its gonna be a 35hp 17'-18' with FNR. At least that's what I'm thinking now, but that's why I wanna look into them a lot before I start anything. |

Here is Foreverdraggin's build. Lots of people in the south have them. Work great in soft mud. |

Here's the mudboat I use on my lease. Had a modded 24hp Honda, and ran fukin great. But it was a straight shaft, no clutch. |

Thanks. I saw his build come together and looks great. What size is yours? Also does everybody go through the bottom on smaller boats or is anybody runnin the shaft out back with trim and turning shaft instead of a rudder? I saw the pics of the super go devil and mud shark and wondered if anybody had that setup for a smaller boat. I don't know how it would do coming out the bottom around here. I run shallow river with sand and coal shoals and a lot of rocks, and most lakes I run have more stumps than a logging yard |

My boat is a 15x40. Just about everyone has the shaft going down through the bottom. There is a brand that has the shaft and prop along with skeg coming out of the transom, which is good for hard bottoms. Just like the super godevils. My good friend has one with a 25 kohler in it. Not fast, runs about 20 mph solo, but is just like a surface drive. |
