 Boat loan questions
Not to get to personal, but I'm wondering how much your paying monthly on your boat? I know is a very broad question so let's say: Credit at or above 720 Bank loan for $15,000 I'm not sure the length of boat loans
In currently overseas so I can't exactly walk into a bank and talk to someone. I realize more info would be needed, I just want some round about prices.

 Re: Boat loan questions
Well I just went through this about 3 weeks ago. I took out 13,000 with 5% interest rate for 48 months. Over all I will pay 14,250.00 if i wait the full four years. If i pay it off in a year then I will only pay 400 extra on the note. Each bank is different. If you have collateral like savings it helps.

 Re: Boat loan questions
"Money in savings" should not effect it. If it does, you might want to look at a new lender.
The boat, motor, trailer, etc serve as collateral on the loan. That is why the lender gets the title. Use a loan calculator. Enter how much you need to borrow, and for how long. Most places that deal with "boat' loans will go out to 8 year (I can't imagine doing that). If your credit is 700+, you should have no problem finding a rate around 2%. The down payment required can vary from lender to lender.
I paid cash for my boat, but I financed a Can Am Maverick. Same type of loan. I financed around 11,000 for 3 years. I didn't question what their down payment requirement was, because I already had a large amount I planned on putting down. That 11,000 for 3 years is costing me just over 300 a month at around 2%.
