 Height of console
Need some help from those who have center consoles.
Like a dummy I didn't write down my measurements off of my other console and now I have to figure it out again.
I cut one out that was 32" tall and it seems too short. It would be perfect if I sat down while driving but I stand up most of the time. And besides it looks stupid in my boat.
Could a few of you tell me how tall your consoles are to the top and if you would change anything about the angle or height?
Thanks in advance!!

 Re: Height of console
I'll measure mine when I get home. I feel mine is more comfortable to run sitting but I'm 6'1". It's OK to run standing but just not as comfortable. 3CK's willet rig to me is perfect to run standing.

 Re: Height of console
Mine measures 30" at the bend and is a good height for standing operation. Pro-Drive's measure 24" and are best for seated operation.

 Re: Height of console
The one I cut out measures 25" to that point Owen. I like the design but it looks awfully short to me.
The one I measured off of was 24" and like you say it's perfect for sitting.

Just messing with ya. Sometimes I wish I had a console but I really like the open layout.

 Re: Height of console
FWIW a standard counter top height is 36", looking at your design, if the top tray was at 36", where would that put the lowest point, around 30" ? Seems like it would be perfect to me...

 Re: Height of console
I like my short console for sitting and concealing but it sucks for standing I believe its 28" high but will measure it.

 Re: Height of console
easier to reach up while sitting then slumped over while standing.

 Re: Height of console
I can measure mine but mines a little wider then most lol. I'm 5,9 and is perfect for me standing up or in my cases leaning against my leaning post. Even sitting on it is pretty comfortable.

 Re: Height of console
I based mine off your other console design.... I went with a 9" deep glove box and overall height of 45". Mine is 1" shorter than the motor trimmed all the way down in the middle hole.

 Re: Height of console
Those glove boxes are awesome on top of those. Might be cool to add an insert for holding beer too.

 Re: Height of console
That what mine ended being Tad.
Thinking about making it 28"-30" to the bottom and 38"-40" to the top.
Thanks for the help!!!

 Re: Height of console
The top of a tall transom GTR is about 52" above the floor.
