I'm running a 17 x 44 Southfork Mud Hull. My motor is a mudbuddy 25 hp but should be pretty close to the same results as you. I have heads, exhaust and carb and I run 27 mph with 2 men, dog and hunting load with my big blade prop. When I put my 9" diameter prop on, I drop to 21 mph because I have to keep the rpms low enough to not hit the rev limiter. |

B Schwartz, get some cup and pitch added to that 9" prop. Let the engine run where it wants to and let the prop keep your rpms where they need to be. |

It's currently pitched to a 14. I will look at having some more cup put into it after the season ends. I have even thought about getting a 3 blade and having it cut down to a 9" diameter and having it worked to see if that will give me a better range of performance. |
