Hire it done, unless you work with aluminum welding often, you will be better off having someone else do it. Cheaper to

Do a search on mmt. There have been many builds posted here. Where they get their aluminum, how they braced this or that, etc. Lots of info here to look through

I was going to build one, I even bought the spool gun for my welder. Then I shopped it around and the bare hull with no paint and built like I want it was quoted at $1800, with a 5-6 week completion date. There is no way I could build it myself and it come out close to the quality of this builder's work.

Having built several glass over wood and glass/kevlar boats from scratch, I know what it takes dedication wise and time wise and knew that I was getting a bargain at that price.

Bayou Metals in New Orleans quoted me for a 20x8 sheet of .100 or 3/16 for $1025 shipped to Custom Boats in New Orleans to have it bent.

Custom boats quoted me $2.00 per foot to crimp the sides and 1.50 per foot for the bends.

So for a 3/16s hull 20x8 it would cost you $1165 plus tax for a hull with no extras.

After your rake it would be a 18ft boat. Just a little FYI

I built my own, It's pretty tedious if you want it right but I enjoyed it. Gonna build another soon. Pierce Aluminum in Broussard has great prices on material as well.
