 Safe floor removal
Anyone any ideas on how to get this crap out? I tried pouring gas on it hoping it would eat the rubber but didn't work like I thought it would..its like the material on a jogging track.IMG_0968.JPG

Increase gas quantity.
Add fire.

 Re: Safe floor removal
Maybe a heat gun with a scraper attachment. Looks like a PITA.

 Re: Safe floor removal
pull the plug, catch the gas in a bucket, and reuse. I dont know what else I was try if it was mine. I'd probably start cutting it out in chunks with a box cutter and get as close to the floor as possible. Maybe use a floor or wall scraper with a sharp blade. Something like this. https://store.armorpoxy.com/mm5/graphic ... %20med.jpg

 Re: Safe floor removal
I tried scraping it put with a wall scrape, chisle, grinder with a wire wheel, and gas. The grinder worked ok but its very very time consuming and was constantly pelting me with timy pieces of rubber..going to try soaking it all with gas a power wash it next...

Try contacting someone who installs safe floor and ask them how to remove it.

 Re: Safe floor removal
maybe try one of those ice melting torches if you went real easy with it to soften it up. I'd bet it would come off in big chunks.

 Re: Safe floor removal
Have you tried one of these? It worked wonders on glued linoleum floors at my house.

 Re: Safe floor removal
Too bad you didn't have access to a hydroblast. I have a friend that took a 10k hydro blaster with a spin jet on the gun peel up a textured floor in an aluminum boat and the floor looked like it was newly installed
