Hey guys, I’m looking to swap out to an outboard for summertime on my rig. It’s a 2066 flat bottom square chine. Is there anything you guys recommend I could weld onto the bottom to help with handling with an outboard? I’m thinking two pieces of 1.5”x1.5” angle maybe 10’ long run a few feet from center on each side? Also had an idea of adding angle to the square chine to act like a reverse chine. What are your guys thoughts? Anyone have similar experience with this? |

Why not just slow down before turning? Cheaper, and helps re-sale value. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

That’s what I do now, and it works. With a light fishing load you have to REALLY slow down. My main concern is with higher speeds from an OB. I’m guessing the hull will be pretty squirrley going 40+mph. Maybe not though? I’m not worried so much about cost of material or installation, more so handling aspect |
