Bayou boy skeg longevity?

 Bayou boy skeg longevity? Has anyone ever worn through one? I run mostly sandy bottom marshes and I've rounded the bottom 4-6" of the skeg. Not much just from flat aluminum to rounded. Even if I wore through this one I would still buy another, just curious if anyone wore one out.

Re: Bayou boy skeg longevity? I run a lot of sandy areas in my GT, and the skeg on it is basically the same construction as bayouboy's...a piece of aluminum plate. The only thing worn on mine is the paint and maybe the sharp corners a tad. Over 160 hours or so anyway. I think it'd take a loooooooong time to wear one out.

Re: Bayou boy skeg longevity? How many hours have you put on the skeg? Again I'll say this skeg makes a world of difference and I would never dream of going back to stock
