 11x10 prop
Anybody running a Hill Marine 11x10 prop? I've been running one and been playing with gears trying to get more speed and decided to go get it worked on so I took it off and went to buddies place we measured it and that bastard only measures 11x6 and thats pushing it my buddy said that he wasn't surprised everyone runs in to this from hillmarine he said all his props are coming from china. Anybody else had this problem

 Re: 11x10 prop
I obviously don't know this first hand, but I don't believe that's correct. If I understand correctly he makes each one of his props there in California. I've ran numerous hill marine props and never had a problem with pitching. IMO hill marine makes a damn good prop, especially for the $$. but that's the great thing about the free market, if you don't like it, don't buy it again I guess.

 Re: 11x10 prop
We measured it with a prop gauge and put it on a pitch die outside measured rim measured 6 and inside edge measured 7almost 8 before the blades where almost even with the hub now that he beat on it the blades sit about 3/4s of inch out from hub lookin straight down at it. Maybe I just got a bad one was just seeing if anybody else had this come up

I think I would be on the horn to Mr Hill. Im sure he would want to know if he was sending out a batch of bad props asap.

 Re: 11x10 prop
The last 1/3 of blade is what makes all the difference measuring close to the hub is not gunna give u an accurate reading

 Re: 11x10 prop
We ran the gauge the full length of the blade and never got over 7. Got it back Tuesday and got to run it today having it beat to a true 10 made all the difference no prop pulsing it just grabs and goes
