 question about running stumps
I run quite a bit of stumps, I have a stock GT 3 blade and a 2 blade Mud Buddy BB, which blade do you guys think will take the hits better? I used to run and old 23 hp hyperdrive with a 2 blade and whacked shit all the time (just kept my elbow bent and I was good to go). Now that I have a CC I'm a little concerned that the motor will be more rigid (no elbow effect) and the prop is going to have to absorb more of the hit. I know the motor will still kick up like my old one but it wont move side to side as freely (due to the steering ram) and sometimes you hit them more on the side. From an engineering stand point I would tend to lean toward the 3 blade since it would have less of a moment arm, but I don't have a lot of experience with the GTR and a CC with these props. I'm probably just gonna run it with whichever prop ends up hauling a load better and just deal with it as one of the downsides to the CC (the upside is I don't have to take a beating from those things haha)

 Re: question about running stumps
I ran a 2 blade on my old cc and it had 140 hrs of running some tough stumps. Never did anything to the prop.
I did break one of the two studs on the shaft housing where it bolts to the belt housing.
My bro in law has been running a 3 blade but I gave him one of my 2 blades and he likes it a lot more when in mud and veggies. But loses speed with the 2 blade.
But the cc is wonderful. I used to run mine wide open through just about any stump field and never fell a thing.

 Re: question about running stumps
Yea so far the CC seems great. Almost too smooth, I'll probably be harder on the prop cause I wont have that feel of the tiller and know when to give the motor a little lift to clear some crap.
