The bearing closest to the pulley on my lower unit has went out. Does anyone have any instructions or tips on replacement? Also do I have to order the parts from mb? I have heard that motion industries sells the correct parts from a friend but he doesn't have the part numbers.

Go to the MB forum & do a search for a thread Deadbird8 about bearing replacement. Helped me out when I did mine. I got my bearings from Motion, but had to get the seals from MB. Bit of advise, be careful with the cast aluminum wedge that holds the gear in place. Lil forker will break easier than ya think, or at least easier than I thought.
