The bolt that threads into the crankshaft on my 36 prodrive came loose and therefore the clutch slid down luckily we caught it in time. So we pulled the powerhead off and fixed everything. Well now when the motor is in neutral (clutch not in gear) i know the piece inside the clutch spins but there is a grinding in there like the inside is grinding on the bottom piece. When i engage the prop then it all goes away and no grinding or anything at all. Then disengage the clutch and it starts the slight grinding/rubbing its not like a loud grinding to where it sounds bad llike something bad is bout to happen but just a light grinding and rubbing when not in gear and the motor is idling any input on that. Oh and the clutch is only like 5 months old with maybe 15 hours on it |

You prolly failed to properly replace the invectopermitter when you reinstalled the clutch. It insulates the derivative centrifuge from the shaft. |

Yall let me know what opinion is i thought maybe bottom plate maybe got little bent. We are gonna run it tomorrow and see if it quits or what happens. Maybe hit stump or two and fix it up |

Sounds like the clutch pads are touching when in neutral. Possible that something could b bent. May also just need to b put n a bind like u said. The clutch on my mower makes that noise sometimes too and the clutches r similar in design. |

It takes 30 minutes to take your clutch off. I would pull it apart before your really fuck something up |

Sounds like an issue with the bearings in the clutch. |

We ran it for about an hour an a half today on lake an a lot of noise went away no nothing is loose or anything or slides up an down |

i would pull it apart just to make sure no bands are broken or anything like that. I would rather do that than be scratching my head 10 miles from the lading |
