 This normal??
Brand new hdr37efi. This motor has less than 6 hours on it. I'm not sure if this is a problem or not, so I figured id ask. Its had a small leak for a few weeks now. Wondering if they put too much grease in it at the factory, causeing too much pressure for the zert fitting. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

 Re: This normal??
Just as I thought. You have the motor in the wrong boat. It'll cause that little grease fitting to leak every time.

 Re: This normal??
If you wipe the grease off how long does it take to leak back out? You Could have a bad zerk fitting. I would try replacing the zerk to see if it will stop leaking. I would rather it leak there then out of one of the shaft seals. If that don't work replace the boat and the motor should work flawlessly

Or at least wipe the pecker tracks off the camera lens once in a while.

 Re: This normal??
Good looking boat, got a buddy with an identical rig. Speeds with 4400, 30-32. Sorry for the hate towards Excel. Half these dudes cant tell you why they hate em, they just read on a forum they suck and jumped on the bandwagon

 Re: This normal??
Hahaha y'all are crackin me up! I've cleaned it twice since I noticed it. I picked up a new zerk today. And I knew what everyone's opinion was before I bought it.. For what I do ( hunting and fishing) this boat is perfect. And it was the best deal for all the options I got on it. The pictures are on there because someone asked me to post a picture of the boat. I've enjoyed all the comments. All in good fun

 Re: This normal??
If the treads are funked up you might have to use a little Teflon tape. I'm sure this will fix your problem. As for your boat it looks Good and as long as you like it that's all that matters.

Looks like Kryptek camo but I cant tell for sure. Pretty sweet looking camo pattern, I've had a few guns come through in that pattern.

 Re: This normal??
So I went to change out the zerk fitting yesterday and when I removed the old one there wasn't any built up pressure in the shaft. I noticed that there was more grease on the zerk, since I cleaned it last. It was later in the afternoon so it was only about 95 degrees. Wonder if the temperature outside is making the pressure in the shaft build up enough to make it seep out of the zerk? I picked up a few 1/4" zerks, which was the wrong size. So I didn't get to change it out. Anybody know of a grease that doesn't liquify when the temps get higher that will still do the job? Also, anybody know what size zerk the new mud buddy's use? Thanks
