I checked my speed and noticed I was only getting 25.5mph. I need new spark plugs and adjust my vavles but before I did anything I wanted to change the prop just see how much difference it would make by itself.

By the way, a 3 foot crow bar is the ticket on the prop ;) the hook end wraps around a blade just right. Leave the nut on to protect the threads until loose, it's either coming off or you'll flip the boat

So I make a run and now getting 27 in deep and I almost touch 28 in shallow :D . My old prop measures a cunt hair under 12" tip to tip, the low end torque is alot better. It's hard to notice this change ovr time wearing down the prop but the cup on these blades is where's its at. If it's gone, all you got is a back up prop.

After I do a full tune up, she'll be back up there touching on 30 :)

New prop is 12-1/2" tip to tip and almost 3/16" thick on the tip where my old prop will cut the chit out ya.

On the hours thing, I only got about 100 hours out of it but I got into some bad sand a few times. It's all on the user on that part. I believe you can phuck one up in a half an hour in the wrong spot...

Knowing what I know now, hopefully this one will last twice as long if not more.

100 hrs on a prop is awesome.

Last year I did the majority of my hunting on a shallow sand flat and shot a prop every couple of weeks.

I guess I did pretty good then on the prop time, in reality it probaly needed changed at 80 hours. I could tell when I got in the sand that was when I lost most of it.

i bought a new prop at the beginning of duck season. Put about 60 hours on it during duck season and it was slap worn out. I brought to Baggy after duck season and got him to recup it, since then i have put about 25-30 hours on it and it is holding up. a lot of people will claim that once a prop is heated it will sling a blade. It has not happened to me yet(Knock on wood). At the beginning of next duck season i will buy a new prop and after the season, if necessary, i will bring it back to him and get it recuped.
