I did a search on tapatalk. Didn't find nothin. Is the 27hp stock prop a 12.25" prop like the 36hp is? They list em different on the site, not sure if that's cause a shaft differences or prop diameter though. Also it don't list the pitch. Thanks y'all. |

A few weeks ago I was at 24-25. Now I'm at 22. I didn't change nothin and my bottom is fine. I measured the prop last night. It was at 11 and 15/16ths. |

Yea you need to get a new prop. What size boat you have and how much weight do you have in the boat with those speeds? |

It's an 1842 Alweld. Weight of boat is 360. I've got the bow mount trolling motor, an 80# deep cycle up front, a standard sized deep cycle in the rear with 6 gallons of gas, anchor and a few fishing poles. |

I don't know if much has changed in the prop designs, but a 27 with some mild mods would spin the 32 prop. A 27 would not spin a 36 unless heavily modded. Been there done that. |

The original 27 prop was more like a cleaver. PA180002.JPG Where as the 32 and 36 has more of a dog ear and some tip curl. PB010577.JPG |

Polarkraft makes a lot of semi v hulls. Is this a flat hull or semi v? Also, if yet maxed out on trim that is more likely your issue. |

Post subject: | Re: Pd stock prop |
It is a semi-v haul and it doesn't matter where i set the trim it doesnt get above 3400 |

It's a semi V hull. You ain't never gonna get more outa it. Get yerself a flat bottom. I had a 15' semi V. Only 3,400 RPM's max. |

I got 18mph outa my 15' at 3,400 RPM's. Now with my 18' I get 3,800 and am runnin 24mph solid. |

well speed hasn't really been my problem. I ran 26 steady one day with pretty much no load and I run 22-24 with another guy and fishing gear but thats all with low rpms, I was wondering if i got my rpms up if id run even faster. that'd be great |

Higher rpm means faster prop turn so yes it should help with speed. I'm not attacking but fer a 27 pd those speeds sound way high fer those RPM's. |

If you are running those speeds, I wouldn't change anything. Especially if its decent out of the hole. |

Mitch, Maybe my eyes not that good but I took a pic a my prop and it seems ta appear more like the 32 er 36 prop in comparing ta yer pics. What do ya think er anyone else fer that matter? If it is a stock 27 prop, what am I missing ta compare it ta from yer first pic? |

yea well I just dont understand why the rpms are so low. And I just replaced my prop, the guy said it didnt matter what size PD that they were all the same. Anyways- it looks like the one you have there. |
