Post subject:  teflon bushing ?

I work in a chemical plant we use teflon bushings in some harsh environments ... Mostly low rpm s tho ... What do yall think will it work on my copperhead shaft ?

No, use a bearing or SAE 660 bronze.

i run a inboard mud boat!! and im a machinist in a shipyard and we just picked up a boat that was running teflon bearings on all four hanging bearing and they had 6 months of constant running on them and no wear!!! so i made me and my buddy a teflon bering for our mud boats just try!!! We havent installed them yet but free for me to make um and it cost 70 bucks for the cutlass berings we normaly run!!

We use em on some low rpm equipment and I have seen them out last a stainless shaft..ware a grove in the shaft.. I want it to last but not that ... Worried about the higher rpm's..
