How far out of alignment are you talking? Pulling the shaft is as easy as removing the bolts and the brace bolt. It should come out after some finessing. Grab your prop and try to push the shaft in and out (like sliding it in and out the shaft tube). If you have movement your Wear sleeves may have gained slop and allowed the shaft to "slid in or out and cause some mis alignment. I can walk you through the fix.

When you install those parts check the alignment again. If it is still out of whack, then you should replace the wear sleeve behind the pulley in between the big roller bearing in the upper bearing housing.. That requires removing the LU off the housing. I did it all my first time in about 3 hours. Now with knowing how it goes together it is a breeze.

1/4" make sure the new key fits tight in the shaft. you may have to replace the shaft and taper lock if the key way grooves are not tight
