It's a 10 1/2x 12 and pitch is 15.

Normally a 25 turns a 13" pitch best. You probably don't have a tach but I bet the 15 is not turning the engine but about 4800 rpm at best. The engine will not last long if you don't have the rpm up at WOT to at least 5200-5800 because the spark advance is at max and not enough rpm to back it up. This will cause detonation inside the cylinder. The 13" should be the golden egg for your set up.

Curltail, well thanks for the good information the motor does seem to be boggin down a little bit while WOT. Would it be Bette to get the 4 blade or 3 blade SS?

I'd go with the 3 blade.
