Ive got a 23 gdsd with a 2 blade and it just dont seem to run as fast as it should my buddy with a 20 gdlt can out run me both of us unloaded i was wondering if a 3 blade would be better |

Three blade is supposed to be faster i believe. With better holeshot. I have a 3 blade 23 Hp gdsd. What kind of boat are u running? How many rpms is your engine getting at wot? |

How old is your prop? It could be worn out |

You need to change your pulleys to get the right gear ratio - BEFORE you can run the bigger higher pitch 3 blade.... It is worth the effort though - I have seen the side by side difference on the same hull.... Call up GD with your frame SN and they can line you up with what you need to make the transition properly...

I would like to try a 3 blade but I don't have a GD. Does anyone else make them for 3/4x10 threads? |

I have the three blade and I cannot turn 4000. Even outta the water. When I first got the engine I had it trimmed all wrong and I could barely get 3300 in water. I figured that out and now I turn 3650 with 2 people. Max |

Does anyone no how to tell the diff in an old style and a new style the gd website says u have to retrofit the opd style to run a 3 blade on it |

Call GD with your frame SN - they can tell you everything ! ! ! If you have a 10 inch 2 blade - it's the old style ! ! ! The 3 blade is 11 inch and the bigger 2 blade made for the 35 GDSD is a 12 inch diameter. |

Is the serial number the tag riveted to the shroud around the engine or is it somewhere else |

Your frame SN - is stamped into the outdrive frame about 12 inches from the prop in 1/4 inch tall numbers... It's also on your Texas Title paperwork... |
