 Rust on clutch I was up in Manitoba duck hunting. For some reason my 27HP Kohler really struggled to get going. The motor is 2 years old. I took off the upper plastic housing that covers the clutch and belt and the clutch was rusty.
This was the first time that this has ever been removed.
Any suggestions as to what to do? I live in the St. Louis area, and there aren't any service dealers for MB here.
The belt looked good, but I am assuming that the clutch has issues engaging the belt.

Re: Rust on clutch Good luck with CS from mud buddy, on another note rust being on your clutch most likely isn't the problem, to rule it out, turn key on do not start motor, flip clutch switch and see if you can turn it by hand, if you can turn the motor over then your good, your problem is else where.
What exactly was the mtoor doing, can you reach full RPMS? What does your Prop Measure from blade tip to blade tip?
