Post 36PD foot problem
I am having a problem with my foot swinging all the way back in forward. It looks like it would be a tooth off. I just bought the boat about a month ago and it has 250+ hours on it... It is starting to have a problem swinging into reverse. It sounds and looks like it is struggling to turn and then to finish turning to full reverse. Thanks for any help on this!!!

What yr is it? Thete was a guy that had a similiar problem a while back and pd fixed it. Some sort of recall on a part. Might check that pin and make sure its operating properly.

I think he is talking about Hydro Reverse.

There was a problem with the cylinder sealleaking fuid by. Mine used to do that. Got a free seal kit and rebuilt it myself.

Never had problem again.

A quick way to trouble shoot it is to disconnect the cylinder from the outer gear arm and move the lower unit around manually to see if it binding. If it is binding grease it at all 5 points and at quarter turns . If the lower unit does move free then actuate the cylinder back in and out, if the cylinder fails to fully stroke then you either have bad seals or pump issues or low fluid. If everything checks out then look at the gear under the clutch and make sure the teeth are clean and clear of debris. The smallest rock, shell or what ever in the lash will cause it to bind.

And if all of the above doesn't help, go see Mike at H&H. He'll fix you up
