. So my 2011 GTR trim is starting to leak when I am using it. After an hr or two of riding there will be a couple of drops of fluid on my transom. I was planing on taking the trim unit to a hydraulic sales and service place close to the house to see about geting it rebuilt. But wanted to ask how do I check or add fluid cause I need to use my boat for the next week or two. |

Send to gatortail for rebuild. I would buy the new style mercury trim. |

I fill mine at the screw that has the serial # label, until it runs out of the screw on the side. |

Somebody told me to expect about 150hrs out of the trim before it starts to leak, and that was true |

Yep that's y I say send to Hoyt . Itl be a lil more upfront bt the new style is twice as fast and I find a tad more powerful. Don't hold me to this bt I have heard they may give a discounted price for a trade in trim unit. Call Hoyt see Wat he says. |

Got it. Seen where someone mentioned Mercury and didn't know if GT had switched it up. |
